Human Hearts, Jeff Tobias, Safka

A live music night at a bar venue with three acts on one bill. Human Hearts, fresh from festival appearances, play songs from their new album Faith & Credit (Dromedary Records) and newer material; critic Robert Christgau calls them "formally sapient." Jeff Tobias, featuring Sam Morrison, performs his own music and that of other composers, while Safka, a four-piece indie band, blend folk, alternative rock, and blues with layered melodies, soulful vocals, and eclectic grooves.
