About

A free Wikipedia edit-a-thon and photobook club session at ICP's library, with browsing of photobooks by Japanese women photographers from the exhibition "I'm So Happy You Are Here: Japanese Women Photographers from the 1950s to Now" and editing of the featured photographers' Wikipedia pages alongside a Wikipedia expert. It is presented by the International Center of Photography in collaboration with Art+Feminism, whose edit-a-thons are volunteer-powered sessions updating Wikipedia entries on gender, feminism, and the arts. All levels are welcome with no experience needed, ICP and an experienced editor offer tutorials and guidance, and participants need a laptop, power cord, and a Wikipedia account. Browse-only participants are welcome, and the editing campaign continues online through December 12.
