Leo Genovese Caudillos: jazz quartet with Tim Hagans.

Leo Genovese Caudillos is a live concert at Bar LunAtico in Brooklyn. The Argentinian pianist Leo Genovese leads a quartet with Tim Hagans on trumpet, Dan Blake on saxophone and Bill Campbell on drums, playing compositions of his that premiered the year before. The band takes its name from the provincial caudillos of Argentinian history, who the composer says stand for freedom and justice, adding that today everyone needs some caudillo DNA to achieve peace in the world. Genovese, who has recorded with Esperanza Spalding and Wayne Shorter, believes in music as a force of change.
