About
Hector Martignon Trio is a live jazz concert at The Django, a club in the cellar level of the Roxy Hotel at 2 Avenue of the Americas in New York City. The Colombian pianist and composer Hector Martignon, twice nominated for Grammy Awards with his albums 'Refugee' and 'Second Chance', leads the trio with John Benitez on bass and Pablo Bencid on drums. His music crossbreeds the improvisational language of jazz with classical European, Latin American folklore and world music idioms. The Smithsonian Institution lists Martignon among the leading artists exploring the regional sources of Latin Jazz.
