About

Michael Blake Quartet: Halloween Tales is a jazz concert in the Birdland Theater. New York saxophonist Michael Blake leads a quartet with Gary Versace on piano, Ben Allison on bass and Michael Sarin on drums. The show draws on his new release Halloween Tales, which brings the mystery, humor and cinematic atmosphere of Halloween and the harvest season into holiday jazz. Blake chose the classic quartet lineup deliberately to echo the instrumentation of the holiday jazz records that shaped his own listening.
