About
"NYC Glam: The 60s–80s" is an exhibition of photographs of New York City nightlife from the 1960s through the 1980s. It presents work by the legendary photographer Harry Benson CBE, acclaimed for images that show important moments of twentieth-century history and icons of the era coming to life through striking portrayals. Over a celebrated six-decade career, he exclusively photographed The Beatles on their famous 1964 tour and captured presidents, royalty, and luminaries of popular culture. The show centers on a core period of his career, with scenes such as Truman Capote's infamous 1966 Black and White Ball, the famed nightclub Studio 54, Jacqueline Kennedy peering out of a limousine, and an intimate portrayal of Bianca Jagger and Andy Warhol.
