About
Books of Wonder hosts a launch event for the middle grade novel "Licorice" at its 17th Street store. Author Kara LaReau presents her critically acclaimed new novel and will be in conversation with Dan Poblocki, author of "Shadow Play." The book follows Kitty the kitten, newly adopted by a loving family whose home smells everywhere of licorice, where the family parrot reminds her she is a replacement for the cat that came before. Kitty becomes trapped in the previous cat's long shadow—and is it just a shadow, or is something really there on the other side of it?
