Book Launch: Bodega Cats of New York by Dan Rimada
PowerHouse Arena, Adams Street 28, 11201 Brooklyn, Brooklyn
About
A book launch presenting a photo book about the working cats of New York City's bodegas and neighborhood stores. Author Dan Rimada, founder of the Bodega Cats of New York project, spent four years documenting 60 cats across all five boroughs together with photographer Gulce Kilkis. The book pairs 150 heartwarming photographs with touching narratives about the cats, their daily territories, and the immigrant families whose stores anchor their communities. It captures the last generation of true working animals in New York and the family-owned corner stores where they still charm customers every day.
