NYC Master Chorale: This Love Between Us, choir with sitar.

The New York City Master Chorale performs This Love Between Us, a concert at Merkin Hall. Conducted by David J. Recca, it is anchored by Reena Esmail's titular work, joining choir, Western orchestral instrumentalists, and sitar and tabla players Neel Murgai and Tripp Dudley of Brooklyn Raga Massive. Through seven movements in English and Indian languages, the piece explores unity and kindness across seven major religious traditions in India. The program also includes Agnus Dei by Ukrainian composer Anna Kuzina-Rozhdestvenska, written in response to the war in Ukraine, with choir accompanied only by tubular bell.
