About

Concert for Peace & Justice is an afternoon of music and dance devoted to solidarity, dignity, and hope. The New York City Labor Chorus, made up of about 50 singers from more than 20 unions, performs a repertoire drawn from folk, spiritual, gospel, jazz, classical, and Broadway traditions, led by music director Jana Ballard with Dennis Nelson at the piano. Special guests Calpulli Mexican Dance Company bring dance and cultural tradition to the program. It takes place at the Mainstage Theater of LaGuardia Performing Arts Center.
