An opening reception for By Way Of, a group exhibition of new work. The Cleveland Institute of Art's Reinberger Gallery presents it with the inaugural cohort of the Regional Artist Mobility Program, a residency exchange between Flux Factory and CIA in Northeast Ohio. The exhibition's title nods to the circuitous paths makers take, each artist working through something that already exists, such as a melting shoe, reenactment, material resistance or Saturday morning cartoons. The cohort includes Rachel Ferber, Mike Meier, Itala Aguilera and Li-Ming Hu, with remarks at 6:00 pm followed by a one-night-only live performance by Aguilera at 6:15 pm.
