Poetry Aloud

Poetry Aloud is a weekly gathering where participants read poetry aloud from collections in the bookstore and discuss them informally. It is hosted by Brooklyn Poets, whose book offerings celebrate a diverse range of poets and themes with a focus on contemporary poets. Everyone chooses a collection, spends about ten minutes picking poems to share, and reads aloud in a circle, with conversation about the books, individual poems and personal reflections. The group is free and open to the public, with donations welcome to support the programming.
