About
A live concert titled Scott D. Miller: Electrospective, marking 50 years of electronic music from 1976 to 2026. The music of Scott D. Miller, a NYC-based composer and Artistic Director of the Tilted Head Ensemble, creates a sound world both strange and familiar, where animal cries, factory sounds and helicopters live next door to opera singers, skewered politicians and pilfered commercial recordings. The concert features two electronic micro-operas, several rarely heard early works and two premieres: Floyd Williams Omnibook (2023) for saxophone-sourced sound and Magic Stumble (2023) for analog synthesizer. His music has been presented at Mise-en, Roulette, La Mama, The Knitting Factory, CBGB, Symphony Space, Lincoln Center Library, DiMenna Center, and at museums and galleries in and around NYC.
