Sean-nós Singing with Madelyn Monaghan: Intermediate

"Sean-nós Singing with Madelyn Monaghan: Intermediate" is a 7-week course on sean-nós, the Irish traditional style of singing, running Mondays from November 2 to December 14. It is taught by Irish-American traditional singer Madelyn Monaghan and is for anyone who has completed the beginner sean-nós course or already knows some Irish and/or traditional singing. Each week the class learns a new song in Irish and discusses its origin, translation, deeper meanings, and historical context. These songs are a vital part of Irish culture and a wonderful gateway for learning the language.
