Sold out: talk on 1948, birth of a state and a conflict.

A session in the six-part series "A Closer Look at Israel," held at Congregation Rodeph Sholom, focusing on 1948 as the birth of a state and of a conflict. The series explores the major moments and forces that shaped Israeli society, from the land before the state's establishment to today's questions, examining the people, events, ideas, and turning points that continue to shape Israel's identity and future. Each session builds on the last, offering historical context and space to consider the complexities of Israeli society and its relationships with Palestinians, the broader region, and the Jewish world.
