Stargazing: telescopes on Staten Island.
About
Stargazing: Great Kills Park is a public observing session held at Great Kills Park in Staten Island, where telescopes are set up for looking at the night sky. The Amateur Astronomers Association hosts these sessions, which are free and open to the public and cancelled if cloudy. Attendees meet at the south end of the parking lot along Buffalo Street, just before Great Kills Harbor, and should dress warmly when it is cold. Visitors should enter the park at Hylan Boulevard and Buffalo Street and follow the paved path, as there are no streetlights on site.
