Sunday Storytime: Allison Matulli reading We Are Free, presented with Brown Babies N’ Books

A Sunday storytime at which Dr. Allison Matulli reads her book We Are Free: Our First Amendment Rights, followed by a meet-and-greet, signing, and light refreshments. The event is presented with Brown Babies N' Books, a Brooklyn-based literacy nonprofit that celebrates Black and Brown voices in children's literature, and is hosted by Lofty Pigeon Books. The book introduces the freedoms the First Amendment gives Americans, from practicing any religion to speaking up and standing up for one's beliefs. It is meant to start conversations about civic engagement with young people just in time for Election Day.
