About
Tedd Firth Big Band is a jazz concert at Birdland Jazz Club, billed as Tedd Firth's 50th Birthday Celebration with special guests to be announced. Pianist Tedd Firth leads the band; he grew up in Hudson Falls, NY, in a musical family and studied jazz piano at William Paterson University and the Manhattan School of Music. Over the last 20 years he has become one of the first-call pianists in the New York City area, especially as an accompanist for vocalists such as Barbara Cook, Michael Feinstein and Marilyn Maye. He has also worked as a musical director and arranger, with his orchestrations performed by major American symphony orchestras as well as Bernadette Peters and Liza Minnelli.
