About
A lecture by Christine Chang as part of The Diane Lewis Student Lecture Series, held in person in Room 315F and on Zoom, and followed by a Q&A moderated by Kevin Yang. Chang is an Associate Director at Neri&Hu who has led master planning, architecture, interior and exhibition projects there since 2012. Her talk examines three projects—a furniture fair installation, an exhibition in dialogue with Carlo Scarpa, and an adaptive reuse project—tracing threads of the studio's practice such as fictional narratives, scenography, East Asian spatial frameworks, reflective nostalgia and the off-modern ruin. It presents dialogue as a framework spanning floor plan and object, contemporary practice and archival history, and modern interventions and existing building structures.
