About
A late-night screening of the psychological thriller The Silence of the Lambs at a cinema in Williamsburg. Jonathan Demme directs this tense story of Clarice Starling, a top FBI academy student sent to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant psychiatrist and violent psychopath imprisoned for murder and cannibalism, to gain insight into a serial killer the FBI is pursuing. Anthony Hopkins stars as Lecter, alongside Jodie Foster, Scott Glenn, Ted Levine and Anthony Heald. The film mingles the horrors of criminal acts with the psychological horror of Lecter's slow-motion interrogation of Clarice and the memories that emerge from it.
