About

Transit Walk: Second Avenue's Art and Transit History is a walking tour of about 90 minutes along the East Side of Manhattan, from the New York Transit Museum. It explores the Second Avenue subway's transit development and an underground gallery of recent MTA Arts & Design public artwork, including an original trolley kiosk on the Queensboro Bridge, images of subway construction, and site-specific works by contemporary artists Jean Shin, Vik Muniz, and Sarah Sze. In addition to the ticket cost, one MetroCard swipe or OMNY tap is required.
