Unlimited, MoMath’s mix-n-mingle program for middle and high school students; “Loops and Lines: Exploring math through beads and bracelets” featuring MOST Fellow Jasmine Camero
National Museum of Mathematics, 5th Avenue 225, 10010 New York, Manhattan
About
Unlimited is MoMath's mix-n-mingle evening for middle and high school students, a parent-free night of hands-on math activities, dynamic exhibits, cookies, hot cocoa, and New York City's only interactive, light-up Voronoi dance floor. This session opens with a special program from the Mathematics Outreach Seminar and Training (MOST) program, which lets students explore math with dynamic, early-career female mathematicians. Titled 'Loops and Lines: Exploring math through beads and bracelets' and led by MOST Fellow Jasmine Camero, it invites students to discover how mathematicians find and study the points that make up curves, then make a bead bracelet of their own. Students must be signed in and out by an adult chaperone.
