About
UrbanSparkle 2026 is an annual exhibition of jewelry made with glass, presented in tandem with NYC Jewelry Week. It is organized by UrbanGlass, and this year's selection highlights four artists using enamel in their wearable work, bringing together metal and glass techniques. Meghan Schmiedel draws on the coexistence of life and death in nature, while Danielle Embry abstracts the visual language of nature to offer an alternative perspective on the world. Myriam Saavedra is inspired by queer nightlife, and Tanya Crane uses black and white enamel marks on copper to indicate the hand and represent time passing.
