Waffle Church
Saint Lydia's, 304 Bond Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231, Brooklyn
About
Waffle Church is an intergenerational worship service that lifts up the leadership and participation of children and youth, inviting everyone to get a little messy along the way. It is made of songs, stories, construction paper, maple syrup, and the love of Jesus, and takes place every second Sunday of the month at Saint Lydia's. The service includes singing, prayer, Scripture stories, communion shared with bread and cup, a waffle feast, and a shared clean-up. Volunteer waffle chefs make the batter from scratch, and all waffles are vegetarian-friendly.
