Yawp: poetry workshop with Jaz Sufi and a reading.

Yawp 11.13.26 is a poetry workshop with a featured reading at Brooklyn Poets. It is led by Jaz Sufi, a queer Iranian-American poet and arts educator who wrote Catalog of Shadows and is a National Poetry Slam finalist. The workshop is about turning a poem into a time machine, traveling backward into memory, forward into possibility and sideways into imagined worlds. Participants will discuss ways of revisiting past experiences and imagine different endings to their stories.
