About
Action Painting, Neon Edition is a guided workshop for expressive abstract painting that combines action painting with fluorescent colours and UV light. The event is run by Paint It Easy, whose artists guide participants through various techniques and teach the foundations of strong abstract compositions. The image is first developed under normal light; about halfway through, the lights are dimmed, UV lamps are switched on and the fluorescent colours begin to glow, transforming the artwork. No prior experience is needed, each participant creates their own personal artwork and takes it home.
