Alain Claude Sulzer – Szenenwechsel

At Literaturhaus Zürich, Alain Claude Sulzer reads from his new novel "Szenenwechsel" (Galiani 2026). The novel takes readers into the world of the theatre: the great director Simon Muthesius is dead, and his whole ensemble – dramaturge, diva, make-up artist, family members – is set in motion, each with their own story and some with an open score to settle. The event is moderated by Nicola Steiner, with a book table from Buchhandlung Hottingerplatz. With his elegantly crafted, many-voiced portrayal of society, Sulzer shows what remains of a life once fame has passed.
