AOZ concert: Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony and Mussorgsky.

A symphony concert featuring two masterworks of Russian music literature. The Akademisches Orchester Zürich (AOZ) performs Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony of 1877, written after a personal crisis and full of inner struggle and passion, along with Mussorgsky's "Bilder einer Ausstellung" in Maurice Ravel's 1922 orchestration, in which pictures from a memorial exhibition for Victor Hartmann come musically alive. The program carries the title "Promenade ins Schicksal" and combines fate, sombre sound colours and moving expressive power.
