Autumn Leaves

"Autumn Leaves (Witnesses)" is an exhibition by the London-based artist Grace Schwindt featuring sculptures and a wall tapestry. The multi-part work was created in 2022 for the Busan Biennale and is now being presented in Germany for the first time. It explores the history of a labor camp in Busan where severe human rights violations took place that have still not been adequately addressed. The stories of a survivor inspired the works, which let viewers experience both the vulnerability and the resilience of the human body and spirit.
