Begegnung mit einem Gespensterhund – und Thomas Meyer und Magali Franov

A reading for children aged 5 and up from the picture book «Herschel, der Gespensterhund», which addresses the death of a family dog in a witty, accessible and sensitive way. After Herschel's farewell, he remains an invisible, pain-free ghost floating around family Mick, who cannot see him, while Luise senses his presence. The book was nominated this year for the Swiss Children's and Youth Book Prize. Author Thomas Meyer (*1974), a Zurich-based writer, named it after his own family's dog; the reading takes place with Basel-based freelance illustrator Magali Franov (*2000).
