Bulgarian Kaval - a beginner-friendly workshop

A beginner-friendly workshop on playing the Bulgarian kaval flute in D/Re, held in English. Behind it is Murrough O'Brien. The kaval is known to be challenging to begin playing: first a sound must be made, then made strong, and the notes must then be articulated, which defines the Bulgarian sound. Together the group works on producing sound, learns good position of mouth, body and instrument, and covers as many basic stages as possible to build a good basis for playing authentically.
