About
A feature film screening that takes viewers to the borderlands of the Balkans. The archaeologist Veska returns to her Bulgarian home village to lead the excavation of a medieval castle. When a former work colleague shows up looking to make quick money, she is drawn into the shadow world of the border region. Director Valeska Grisebach follows her westerns with another portrait of the Balkans between past and present, which won the Jury Prize in Cannes.
