Pool of Fools play live before Disler's painted slides.

«Die Umgebung der Klänge» is a concert in which a band plays in front of slides painted in 1986. Behind the project is drummer Dieter Ulrich with his group Pool of Fools, featuring Lina Allemano, Hans Koch, Josephine Nagorsnik, Flo Stoffner and Christian Weber. Martin Disler and Irene Grundel painted 460 slides back then, beamed from five projectors around the musicians. The total work of art was never performed again and is now being revived, 40 years after its premiere.
