About
«Drill Baby Drill» is a theatre piece at Theater Neumarkt that travels to the centre of the earth. It was written by Sarah Calörtscher and is directed by Giulia Rumasuglia, with an ensemble of Shabnam Chamani, Max Kraus, Till Schaffnit and Hanna Eichel. The play tells of a world without oil, where a geologist descends into a hole in the ground and meets an oracle suffering from burnout at the earth's core – an absurdly comic journey between the end of the world and new futures. The text was awarded the audience prize in 2026 at the Festival PLAY for new theatre texts from Switzerland.
