Ein Jahr im Zeichen der Fledermaus

The talk 'Winterschlaf – Überlebenskünstler im Kälteschlaf' (Hibernation – survival artists in cold torpor) is part of the series 'Ein Jahr im Zeichen der Fledermaus' (A Year in the Sign of the Bat) at Friedhof Forum. It explains the adaptations that allow bats to live off their fat reserves for months, and why disturbances during hibernation can be life-threatening for them. The series offers varied insights into the world of bats until December 2026. Registration is possible directly via Fledermausschutz.
