Evensong: Anglican evening prayer with singing.

Evensong is a public evening service held in the choir of the Fraumünster church, drawing on the Anglican tradition of evening prayer. It is organised by the Theological Seminary of the University of Zurich and also serves as an exercise for theology students in their master's studies. It combines Holy Communion and prayers modelled on Thomas Cranmer's liturgy with a short interpretation of a biblical text. A typical feature is the mix of different church-musical sound worlds such as Gregorian chant, worship, hymns and Taizé songs, in which everyone may sing along or simply listen.
