Thomas Cottier on freedom, security and Europe.

A public lecture at the University of Zurich on Switzerland's perspectives in Europe. Led by Prof. Dr. Andreas Kellerhals, director of the Europa Institute at the University of Zurich, the speaker is Prof. Dr. Thomas Cottier, professor emeritus of European and international economic law at the University of Bern. The lecture asks how Switzerland can preserve its freedom, prosperity and direct democracy while ensuring its security in a multipolar world in the middle of Europe. A coherent long-term foreign policy and a transnational federalism as a contribution to European integration and the defence of liberal democracy are also up for discussion.
