About
Listening stations invite visitors to pause and hear people speak openly, nuanced and without judgement about their personal experiences with psychoactive substances. Behind the project stands substanzielles.ch, co-initiator and co-organiser of the festival in which the stations are embedded. At four screens with two headphones each, portraits show people from addiction physicians to dealers, members of parliament to bus drivers, revealing that consumption spans all professions and social strata. Three stations are in German, one in French, and the stories can be heard throughout the whole festival.
