Indischer Tanz: Kathak

A course in Kathak, the classical Indian dance from North India, offering an introduction to this old and intricate art form. It is led by Poonam Shyam and concentrates mainly on the technical side: refined foot percussion, fast spins, jumps and soft, stylish arm movements. Participants learn a choreography, movement games, rhythms and expressions, explore Indian mythology and get to experience a performance in front of an audience. The course leader should be contacted before the first visit.
