Colloquium with Aviv Tamar: artificial touch and AI.

A public computer science talk in the colloquium series of the Department of Informatics at the University of Zurich, held in English and requiring no registration. Behind the talk is Prof. Dr. Aviv Tamar of the Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology, hosted by Prof. Dr. Giorgia Ramponi. Under the title "Artificial Touch: the Next Frontier for AI", it addresses artificial touch, for example in the context of medical palpation such as breast cancer detection, using learning information states, modularly designed soft objects, and the largest tactile dataset to date of over 800 hours. The colloquium is aimed at researchers, students and the interested public.
