About
The advanced course 'Keine Angst vor alten Schriften' teaches participants how to decipher difficult handwriting in German Kurrent script, focusing on older texts from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is run by the Zentralbibliothek Zürich, specifically its manuscripts department, and takes place in the Begegnungszone in the reading room on the ground floor. Basic knowledge of reading Kurrent script, for example from the basic course, is required. Places are limited, registration is necessary, and no course fees are charged.
