About
'Mensch und Klima seit der Neuzeit' is a lecture series at the University of Zurich. It traces how climate became a question of society's future, how industrialization ushered in the fossil age, and why in the twentieth century a belief arose in a climate that could be technically controlled. The series concludes by discussing the idea of a post-growth society as an answer to today's social, economic and ecological challenges. It shows how ideas of progress, growth and control continue to shape our relationship with the climate.
