Mount Jacinto

Mount Jacinto is a band based in Zürich around the Costa Rican musician Sonya Carmona. After her work with Colornoise and Las Robertas, she founded the band as a space for expansive, emotionally dense soundscapes, inspired by Mount San Jacinto near Palm Springs and the open vastness of Northern California. Besides Seraina Lutta on drums and Joel Morales on bass, Mount Jacinto features Sonya Carmona on guitar and vocals. After the debut EP “Outward Signs” (2023), their first album “Silver Lining” came out in 2024 on Taxi Gauche Records; support comes from the St. Gallen neo-psychedelic/shoegaze band Choose The Juice.
