About

Public guided tours take visitors through the Old Crematorium Sihlfeld in Zurich. The hosts are Reto Bühler, Nana Calisto, Adrian Morgenthaler or Rolf Steinmann. They lead guests through spaces that are normally closed to the public, among them the old cremation furnaces and a basement collection of old gravestones, urns and figurative elements. The tours cover the building's architecture and history, as almost all cremations in Zurich took place here from 1915 to 1992.
