Plastik-für-Mahlzeiten-Event (Ghana, Dwabor)

Plastik-für-Mahlzeiten-Event (Ghana, Dwabor) is a community event in Dwabor where participants hand in 20 collected plastic bottles or 30 water sachets in exchange for a warm meal. It is run by Buy Food with Plastic, a Zurich-based organisation that has been working in Ghana since 2021. Each event series also includes two radio broadcasts and two school workshops on recycling and sustainable waste management. The collected bottles and caps are processed in an upcycling workshop in the region, while the PET bottles go to a local recycling partner in the capital.
