Präsentation Bugholzhocker

At «Präsentation Bugholzhocker», designer Beat Frank presents his bentwood stool «merci les plantes», made by the Holzbiegewerk Winkler workshop. In conversation with Ariana Pradal, he tells how his studies of plant structures and Emanuele Coccia's «Eine Philosophie der Pflanzen» led him to bentwood techniques, among other things for an art project in the courtyard of the German Historical Institute in Paris. The bookshop Hochparterre Bücher recommends Beat Frank's book, which shows how furniture can be seen as sculptures and how these sculptures find application in life.
