Pretty Scary Things: 4x Horror

"Pretty Scary Things: 4x Horror" is a special edition presenting four Asian horror films, taking a tour through almost 25 years of genre cinema from Japan, Indonesia and Thailand. Behind the evening are the curation collective Never Watch Alone, the student cinemas Filmstelle ETH/UZH and Klub Kuleshov ZHdK, and the Art or Trash Cinema Podcast, in cooperation with CUT! Fachverein Filmwissenschaft. The selection shows works that stage horror as formal experiments, cursed spaces, bodily experiences or media hauntings. There will also be dinner and drinks in the foyer, where tarot legend Madame Selma reads the cards.
