About
This evening marks the opening of the exhibition "Sabine Marcelis – Light and Color" at the Toni-Areal. The Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis (*1985) plays with light, color, reflections and transparency, transforming translucent materials such as glass, resin or natural stone into luminous objects. The exhibition brings together central bodies of work with site-specific light pieces, including an eleven-meter walkable light tunnel made of 125 lamps and an installation featuring giant lava lamps and mirror walls. It is Marcelis' first museum exhibition, and the opening offers sign language interpretation as well as wheelchair and stroller access.
