About
A public evening talk in the 'Science 2 Go' series at the Vetsuisse Faculty. Dr. Nora Schreiber, Dr. Natalie Hofer-Inteeworn and Prof. Manuela Schnyder speak about Angiostrongylus vasorum, the 'French heartworm', which has spread successfully to Switzerland as well. Together they explore why we must expect to deal with this parasite in the future, how sick dogs can be recognised, and why an early diagnosis is important. They also look into how the dangerous bleedings arise that can lead to a dog's death if untreated.
