Soul Stripping by Paula Charles – Republication Vernissage

A vernissage celebrating the reissue of the book «Soul Stripping. The Autobiography of a Go-Go Dancer», with a moderated reading followed by an apéro. The author Paula Charles, raised in the Caribbean and living in Switzerland since 1978, recounts her work as a go-go dancer in Swiss nightlife and her struggles against racism, sexism and exploitation. The book was first published in 1995 by Limmat Verlag under the title «Go, Josephine, go» and has now been reissued by her as a self-published edition. Paula Charles reads from the book herself, with an introduction by Madafi Long Pierre and moderation by Jovita dos Santos Pinto.
